A teenage boy was driving home around midnight, when a creature unlike any he'd ever seen before suddenly leaped in front of his car from an embankment at the side of the road. Whatever it was the witness had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting it. He got a good look at the thing as it hopped through the beams of his headlights. He estimated it stood some 3 1/2 to 4 ft tall, with fangs and a face resembling a cross between a cat and a bat, red eyes with large black pupils and long, pointed ears. It also had small "paws" equipped with three inch long claws and muscular hind legs something like those of a kangaroo. The creature appeared to be covered in long, bushy dark brown or black hair.
