Savannah River AEC workers observed a round, glaring red, object with no tail, traveling at high speed. Explanation: Meteor.
An unidentified but otherwise conventional object was sighted. One object was observed for 30 seconds.

I. Description of Incident
On 21 November 1952 at 1822 EST, two heavy equipment operators working in the Savannah River AEC installation observed one round, glaring red, object with no tail, which appeared to be traveling at high speed. The object faded from view in the SSE after being in sight for about 30 seconds. It appeared to be losing altitude when it disappeared. No sound was heard.
II. Discussion of Incident
The description of the reported object fit the typical fireball or large meteor.
III. Conclusion
Probably a fireball.

Vallee rating: FB1: A simple sighting of a UFO traveling in a straight line across the sky.
