A red fluorescent, cylindrical object with a cone on top, four meters long and two meters in diameter, surrounded with a white glow.
T. Untiedt was driving on Highway 28 about five kilometers west of Cyprus when he saw a red fluorescent, cylindrical object with a cone on top, four meters long and two meters in diameter, surrounded with a white glow. The car slowed down as the observer was 400 kilometers away from the object, which took off toward the northeast. An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One red ball, about 10 feet across, was observed by two witnesses, a married couple, on a highway. A noise was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
