Near Paripueira, jeweler Wilson Lustosa and numerous fishermen saw an object hovering 15 meters above the sea, 40 meters away. It was lens-shaped, about 12 meters thick, and showed portholes with a glowing red light. Below the object the water seemed to be "boiling" or attracted upward, while a soft, whirring sound was heard. For one hour the object kept going up and down.

A flying disc was observed. It moved with a falling-leaf motion. Gravity effects were noted.

One red star, about 40 feet across, was observed by numerous male witnesses on the ocean for several hours (Lustosa).

Hynek rating: NL: Nocturnal Lights
