The whole town saw an object fly under the cloud ceiling.
The whole town saw an object fly under the cloud ceiling. It came down slowly, then flew away very fast to the southeast. When directly over the town it swept the ground with its powerful light. It was seen to rise up at fantastic speed until barely discernible, then to come down again and sweep low over the witnesses. At one point it remained stationary for five minutes at the edge of a low cloud, which it illuminated. All could clearly see the silhouette of the craft. An object was observed. It zig-zagged through the air. One multi-colored saucer, about 40 feet across, was observed in cloudy weather by numerous male witnesses in a town for 20 minutes. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
