Reality check: 1900 census shows no Hibbard in Iowa. 22 km north of Sioux City would be in Plymouth County. There are Huberts, Hubbards, and non-Robert Hibbards in Iowa, including a Hibbard family in Sioux City, but not in Plymouth. There are several Robert Hibbards on the east coast and one in Kansas. Iowa 1885 census shows a Robert Hibbard born in 1870 in Lee County, the other side of the state. A Robert Whifield Hibbard registered for the draft in 1914 in Lee County. He was born on 23 December 1877. He had lost his right arm some how.
