Train damaged when it strikes hovering object
While working a coal train en route from Russell to Shelbiana Kentucky, a locomotive trailing unit and first two cars were severely damaged as they struck an unknown floating or hovering object. The entire electrical systems on both locomotives "went haywire." An unidentifiable object was observed at close range and caused physical effects.
