Deactivation of 6-8 ICBM missiles during appearance of a red saucer-shaped object
Several sightings of a red saucer-shaped object were made at various locations around the dispersed ICBM silos of Malmstrom AFB, USAF 341st Strategic Missile Wing, during the early morning hours by USAF security teams. Near Roy (about 30 miles northeast of Lewistown), O-Flight had an unexplained deactivation of 6-8 Minuteman nuclear ICBM's within several seconds of each other. A USAF security guard was injured and medivacked out. Capt. Robert Salas was Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander on duty at O Flight. At 08:45, later that morning, at E-Flight, ten Minuteman ICBM's were inexplicably deactivated within ten seconds of each other. One red ball was observed by several witnesses (Robert Salas).
