Large silent, dark, elliptical object moves thru trees and houses. Explanation: Aircraft.

Exeter Patrolmen Eugene Bertrand, Jr. and David Hunt, and Norman Muscarello saw a large silent, dark, elliptical object with a row of five bright red lights oriented about 60° to horizontal. It moved slowly and erratically to the southeast, over a field, then around houses and trees at 100 feet height. It lit up the ground and houses in red light, while the lights blinked in sequence. It sometimes fluttered to a low altitude with a falling-leaf motion. Farm animals reacted and were very noisy. Disappeared at 160° magnetic after covering a 135° arc.


An object was observed. Animal reactions to the object were reported. Multiple independent witnesses.

One red oval object, , was observed in clear weather by five male witnesses, typical age 30, as reported to the police, in a rural area for one hour (Hunt, David; Bertrand, Eugene; Muscarello, Norman). No sound was heard.
