Reddish-orange object change shape from round to cigar shape covered with fog
3 witnesses driving south on the Dauphin Island toll bridge saw a reddish-orange object 1/3 the sun's diameter to the south about 10° elevation, changing shape from round to football or cigar shape then covered with fog. Car stopped for witness to call Dauphin Island AFS radar site, 693rd Radar Squadron which coincidentally had two USAF airmen driving north on the toll bridge and saw the object to the west, and thus object's location can be approximately triangulated at about 30° 16' north, 88° 10' west, distance to civilian observers 2-5 miles depending on how far north when first seen, and actual size at least 30 feet. No radar contact reported. An unusual object was sighted by multiple witnesses, that had unconventional appearance and aerobatic performance.One orange-red cigar-shaped object, larger than a star, was observed in cloudy weather by five male military witnesses, typical age 52, on a bridge for over 12 minutes. No sound was heard.
