Pulsating bluish-white luminous halo surrounding a dark ellipsoidal object
Civilian-military pilot John H. Stewart while driving north saw a pulsating bluish-white luminous halo surrounding a dark ellipsoidal object that may have been larger than a DC-6 (117 feet) slowly moving south at about 2,000-3,000 feet height, then hovered for 7-8 minutes over the General Electric plant, the last four minutes of which Stewart observed after stopping his car. Object accelerated and suddenly changed color to yellow then red, changed course to the east, then disappeared in an almost vertical climb in seconds. A hovering object was observed. One blue-yellow ball, about 20 feet across, was observed by one experienced male witness at a factory for seven to eight minutes (John H Stewart). No sound was heard.
