RW Love incident. 18-20-inch white, flat disc with fuzzy or shimmering edges. Explanation: Aircraft.
R.W. Love, owner of Love Diving Company, and Mr. Ferrenti, while engaged in retrieving radio-controlled drones on a boat 1,100 yards offshore south of the Pt. Mugu Naval Air Missile Training Center, saw an 18-20-inch white, flat disc with fuzzy or shimmering edges rapidly approach from about 305° azimuth, fly straight and level, overtaking a jet aircraft flying at 150-200 knots in 3 seconds, pass overhead, disappearing in haze to the east. A flying disc was observed. One white saucer, about 20 feet across, was observed by two experienced male military witnesses on the shore for 3over minutes. No sound was heard.
