Cone-shaped object
USAF pilot Lieutenant Milo Roberts and bombardier Lieutenant Julius Prottengeier with 308th Bomb Squadron, 310th Bomb Wing, Forbes AFB, Kansas, flying a B-29 bomber (s/n 44-62204) at 190 mph at 17,000 feet saw a cone-shaped object approach on collision course from the two o'clock position, before evasive action object made sharp left and disappeared, followed by a second object (?). Object's length/width ratio 3:1, about 8-10 feet long at 1,200-1,500 feet away or 100 feet if at 15 miles away. One cone-shaped object was observed by two witnesses (Julius Prottengeier; Roberts, Milo).
