Long orange-red conical flame change to white-orange. Explanation: Aircraft.
Gregory and other USN crew of PBM Mariner type BD-5 were 140 miles from Tsingtao, China over Yellow Sea. They saw long orange-red conical flame change to white-orange. Airborne radar tracking. An object was tracked by radar and sighted visually. One yellow-orange cone-shaped object was observed by military radar for 16 minutes (Gregory).
