Six orange lights in an irregular formation, fly straight and level. Explanation: Psych.
Staff Sergeant W. T. Smith and Master Sergeant L. L Deuel (?) saw six orange lights in an irregular formation, fly straight and level into a coastal fog bank. Unidentified objects were sighted, but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation. Seven orange circular objects were observed by two military witnesses on a highway for three to four minutes (Deuel, L L; Smith, W T). Hynek rating: DD: Daylight Discs Vallee rating: FB1: A simple sighting of a UFO traveling in a straight line across the sky. Vallee reliability rating: 342: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
