A. C. Urie on land, and two sons Billy and Keith 300 feet away in a boat, were all on the south side of the Snake River, six miles west of Blue Lake Ranch. Looking north, they saw a squeezed or elongated, straw-hat shaped, sky-blue object about 10 x 10 x 20 feet, with pods on the side emitting flames. It was about a half mile away and flew towards them down the canyon at 1,000 mph at 75 feet height. It made a contour-following motion, up and down over uneven terrain. Trees swayed underneath with a circular motion. It disappeared with a swish sound. Urie was about 300 feet from the object at closest approach, which was about level with him, about 75 feet above the river, and silhouetted against the canyon wall 1,200 feet away, It disappeared behind a hill about one mile away. The object was at about 45° elevation to the boys on the river below him, who saw it disappearing behind trees.

One blue domed disc, about 300 feet across, around 300 feet away, was observed by three male witnesses (as reported to the police) on a river for five seconds (Urie, A C). A swishing sound was heard.
