Loud rumbling like thunder. Lady went to backyard and saw glowing green light 50m away 10m above ground, stationary, 30-45cm in diameter. Explanation: BallLightn.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One green light, about 1 foot across, around 100 feet away, was observed by two witnesses for six seconds. A thunder-like sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
