USS Dyess incident.
Radar only. Blip like large aircraft (DC-9) approached from east at 90kph, 3000-4000 feet al. Stopped 30 miles away, hovered, took off rapidly to the north at 3000mph when ship approached to 15 miles, then straight up. An object was tracked by radar. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight.One object was observed by a male military witness in a warship for over 35 minutes.
