Ansett incident.
ANSETT-ANA DC-6B pilot and crew filmed UFO. Spherical, slightly oblate, flat on top and bottom. Over Coral Sea enroute to Port Moresby. An object was observed from a car and photographed. One elliptical was observed by four experienced witnesses on the ocean for over 12 minutes (Barker; Orr). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
