USAF incident.
Twin engine C-47, 4000 feet alt, cylinder about 2x size of B-29, with luminous portholes, distance 1000 yards. Speed 75 miles in three minutes, on collision course with aircraft, stream of fire exhaust 1/2 length of object. A cigar-shaped object was observed. One cylinder, about 300 feet across, was observed by three experienced male military witnesses in-flight for over three minutes (Puckett, J). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: DO: Daylight Objects Vallee rating: FB1: A simple sighting of a UFO traveling in a straight line across the sky.
