3' long football seen from Cessna 172, solid, smooth, metallic. Maintained distance ahead of plane for 5-6 seconds, then overtaken. Axis parallel to horizon, did not bobble in planes turbulence as balloon
An unidentified object was sighted, that had an unusual appearance or performance. One metallic football-shaped object was observed by two male witnesses, typical age 59, in-flight for six seconds (Clark, John F). Hynek rating: DD: Daylight Discs Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
