Mail plane of Brazil AF, from Uberaba to Sao Paulo, UFO hovered close to uninhabited island on Rio Grande, surrounded by yellow halo, took off at 30 degree angle.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One yellow dome-shaped object was observed by two experienced male military witnesses on a river for over three minutes (Sobral). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
