In October 1970 Afternoon Mobile, Bates Field, Alabama, USA 
College Students incident.
UFO hovering over field when first seen. Had white, green, red lights. Panels or windows flashing in sequence as if rotating. Oval shaped, size of house trailer. An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One multi-colored oval object, about 150 feet across, was observed in clear weather by three female witnesses for over ten minutes. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
