Airline Pilots incident.
Extremely bright, blinding light at top center of disc, blinking 3x/sec, crossed in front of plane very close, DC-3, Chicago and Southern. 100 feet diameter, purple light seen through 8-10 oval portholes on bottom An object was observed. It buzzed a witness. One blue-white disc, about 150 feet across, around 2500 feet away, was observed in clear weather by two experienced male military witnesses in-flight for over .5 minutes (Adams, J). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
