4 July 1981 Around 1600 Holland, Lake Michigan, Michigan, USA 
JAL L1011 incident.
Captain and first officer saw bright flash of reflected light, smooth, silvery, disc, 10x width to height, upper surface shallow cone, seen while rolling in shallow climb, left wavy black trail. A flying disc was observed. One shiny disc was observed in clear weather by two male witnesses, typical age 54, at a lake for six seconds. Hynek rating: DD: Daylight Discs Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
