Sandia Security guard drove jeep in Coyote Canyon, approached on foot, had clear view of round disc at Manzano Weapons Storage Area. RF: radio did not work, UFO shot straight up at high speed.
A flying disc was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Electromagnetic effects were noted. One disc was observed in clear weather by more than three male experienced witnesses, as reported to the police, near a nuclear test site for 30 minutes (Ferenz). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
