2 December 1978 Evening Roanne, France 
Videotape of luminous object, 9 minutes long. Luminous round object appeared over tops of mountains, traced a big circle, remained still several minutes.
An object was tracked by radar and sighted visually and photographed. It moved with a falling-leaf motion. Animal reactions to the object were reported. One luminous round object was observed by several male witnesses at a mountain for over nine minutes (Michault).
