Nautical UFO, shape of 44 gallon drum, red with white band around middle, floating in water 20m away. It was steady but water quite choppy. Object sped off above water, shot up, disappeared 5-10 seconds.
An object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One multi-colored cylinder was observed by one witness. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
