10m saucer over 9m over police cruiser. Had lit portholes. Shot straight up.
A flying disc was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Multiple independent witnesses. One disc, about 40 feet across, was observed in clear weather by seven experienced male witnesses (as reported to the police) on a road for eight minutes (Roberts). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 343: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
