9 January 1979 Daytime Tacuarembo, Argentina 
Domed ovoid-shaped UFO paced car 40 minutes. four people in car, two of them police. UFO changed color and brightness, red to bluish white, formed over base ring of plasma. Joined other objects in sky.
Objects were observed from a car. More than three changing color domed oval objects were observed by four witnesses, three of them an experienced observors, as reported to the police, on a highway for 180 minutes (Costa). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
