Piper Navajo, Murchison Air incident.
Radio communication failed. Formation of 5 discs around cigar, discs maneuvered as cigar flew straight. Main object shape changed over 10 minutes from cigar to ovoid. Objects were observed. Electromagnetic effects were noted. Six dark shifting-shape objects were observed in clear weather by two experienced male witnesses in-flight for over ten minutes (Gardin; Smith). Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 333: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
