11 along Pacific Highway, Triangular Nocturnal light over car at 40m altitude. Moved slowly, then shot away rapidly to the east.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One triangle was observed by 11 witnesses on the shore for over one minute. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
