Bright object with row of white lights on bottom, red light on top, low over trees, witness drove to within 150 feet of UFO. Object made a U-turn, lost from sight behind trees.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One metallic rectangular object, around 100 feet away, was observed by two female witnesses in the woods for over three minutes (Petersen, M). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
