SS Fort Salisbury incident.
Dark object, 500-600 feet long, several hundred feet to starboard of ship, had two lights, one at each end, made commotion in calm sea, submerged slowly. An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft.One dark object, about 600 feet across, was observed in clear weather by several male experienced witnesses on the ocean (Gaddis; Raymer).
