In March 1967 Daytime Cuban Coast Ne, Cuba 
Cuban AF incident.
UFO approached Cuba from northeast, two MIG-21 interceptors vectored in,flight leader ordered to destroy bogey, missile radar lock when leader jet exploded/disintegrated. Radar watched UFO ascend over 100,000 feet alt A witness later died. Men in black later interviewed witnesses. One metallic sphere was observed by several male military witnesses, two of them an experienced observors, in a warplane. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE5: CE4 which results in permanent psychological injuries or death. Vallee reliability rating: 443: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
