Brilliant object with rows of white lights paced car, no sound, moved in front of car under 50 feet away. Made sharp turn, to the north. Witnesses called K I Sawyer AFB, heard them say "Blue Alert" and heard buzzers.
An object was observed from a car. Multiple independent witnesses. One multi-colored V-shaped object, about 150 feet across, about forty feet away, was observed by more than one female witness, one of them an experienced observor, in a residential area for a few minutes (Lindauver; Sant). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 344: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a skilled analyst; no natural explanation possible, given the evidence.
