100 feet diameter disc hovered over town, flew toward Mount Sopris. Two identical independent reports.
A hovering object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One disc, about 150 feet across, was observed by two witnesses at a mountain for two minutes. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
