Bell-shaped object hovered over paddock at Army camp for 5 minutes, orange exhaust, rainbow colored vapor shot toward ground, hovered three more minutes, climbed, shot off rapidly to the northeast.
A hovering object was observed. One silver domed disc, about 20 feet across, was observed by one experienced male military witness at a military facility for eight minutes (Purcell, G). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
