30 feet diameter cone over shoreline and Alameda Naval Yard, 5000 feet altitude. One witness thought it was plane with engine trouble. Explanation: Aircraft.
An unidentified object was sighted, but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation. One cone-shaped object, about 40 feet across, was observed by six military witnesses at a military facility for ten minutes (Kraker).
