White Sands, New Mexico, USA
Two white discs pace V-2 rocket during launch, one passed through the rockets exhaust. Shot straight up. Seen by group of US Navy witnesses, high quality observers.
Objects were observed. They departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Multiple independent witnesses. Two white round objects, about 20 feet across, were observed by more than five male military witnesses near a missile for over 15 minutes (McLaughlin). No sound was heard.
Hynek rating: DD: Daylight Discs
Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
Vallee reliability rating: 433: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
