Half of left elevator control surface wrenched off, crew lost temporary control, emergency landing at Bakersfield. Explained as metal fatigue. Explanation: Malfunct.

An object was observed. It buzzed a witness. Traces found. One disc was observed in clear weather by several male military witnesses, one of them an experienced observor, briefly (McMullins; Stenvers).
