When first seen 10 feet silver orb was below pilot, rapidly to the north for 5 miles. Made 180 degree turn rapidly to the south, climbed. When plane banked toward UFO, it banked into a left-hand orbit around the aircraft. No radar.

An unusual object was sighted, that had unconventional appearance and performance. One silver ball, about 10 feet across, was observed by two experienced male military witnesses in a warplane for over five minutes (Bass). No sound was heard.

Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
Vallee reliability rating: 433: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
