USAF incident. Explanation: Star.
Big reddish object passed USAF transport plane, then hovered for 5 minutes. An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One red object was observed by more than two male military witnesses, two of them experienced observors, at a military facility for five minutes (Lemon, Joseph H). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 333: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
