Three sets of flashing lights, each like "football stadiums all lit up", seen over hills behind Sanford. Witnesses drove to within .25 mile.
Objects were sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. Three dark lights were observed by two male witnesses, one of them an experienced observor, at a mountain (Dugan, Bob). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
