USAF RB-29 373Rd Recon incident.
Project Blue Book "unidentified" case. One unidentified target. Blip lets B-29 pass by, then zips off at 400nmph. Independent ground observers (8 witnesses) saw UFO over south end of island earlier. Objects were tracked by radar and sighted visually. Multiple independent witnesses. More than one object was observed by over 17 military witnesses on the ocean for 20 minutes (Shaffer).
