8' dist; dull, redbrown, metallic rectangle, 1X1X6; hovered, floated, raced away fast at 70 degrees to second object eq. triangle; flashing red to silver to red, rotating slowly; hov, then raced away.
Objects were sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. Two brown rectangular objects, about twenty feet away, were observed in clear weather by two female witnesses, typical age 11, in a city for 18 seconds. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
