Noticed light outside window; object approached over near building; changed exterior coloration on approach; moved off and out of view. Roused friend to observe receding object. Friend not on record.
A hovering object was observed. One multi-colored domed disc, about fifty feet away, was observed in overcast weather by two witnesses, typical age 31, in a city for over one minute. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
