Bright light with halo effect. White lights formed a cross. Red on one side, white on top. Explanation: Meteor.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One multi-colored oval object, about 20 feet across, around 300 feet away, was observed in clear weather by two female witnesses, typical age 63, in the suburbs for over 25 minutes. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
