Spherical object approached and passed about 200 feet under witness' plane at 3300 feet. Object's speed estimated 800-900 mph. Miss. river 15-20 miles west. Arkabutla Reservoir 10 miles northeast of sighting.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One gray ball, around 300 feet away, was observed in clear weather by one male 32-year-old witness at a lake for six seconds. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
