Man awakened by dogs, saw object descending within 80 feet away, landing in vacant lot; called wife and son, object got within 40 feet. Man shone flashlight on object; it flashed back and disappeared.
An object was observed. Animal reactions to the object were reported. One multi-colored disc, about 5 feet across, about fifty feet away, was observed in partly cloudy weather by three witnesses, typical age 31, in the suburbs for over 12 minutes. A static-like sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
